Basic Competitor Rules

Chainsaws and equipment (axes, chains, ropes, etc) - All participants will use EDT's equipment. Absolutely no personal chainsaws or equipment from home will be used except woodcarving and demonstration.

Safety glasses, safety chap pants, and safety gloves - EDT will provide them but participants may bring their own. They must be worn when using chainsaws.

Sandals, flip-flops or bathing shoes - Wearing them is prohibited during the logging competitions. Toe covered sneakers or hiking boots are permitted. Crocs with sturdy harnesses are OK.

Horseshoes - EDT will provide for men's and women's game. No personal horseshoes from home may be used.

Age restriction - Participants must be at least 18 years old to participate in logging competitions and adult activities.

Participation - Deaf and hard of hearing individuals, CODAs/KODAs, ASL interpreters, and hearing sibling/significant other/spouse/partner that are able to demonstrate ASL fluency.
